Maple Care Physiotherapy is pleased to announce a two-day workshop on NDT principles related to coordination of movement of the trunk and upper extremity for active support in functions, through transitional movement, for developing reach and open chain activities for Physio & Occupational therapists. It is one of the most evidence-based interventions used in neurologic rehabilitation.

The two-day workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the principles of the NDT approach to the treatment of adults with neurological impairments and particularly as applied to the management of the hemiplegic upper extremity. They will demonstrate a basic skill for analyzing normal and abnormal movement as it relates to the trunk and upper extremity function for support in postures, during some transitional movement and in some open chain functions. Demonstrating basic handling skills to improve shoulder and hand mobility, reduce pain and facilitate scapula control in coordination with trunk and upper extremity movements.
